step-by-step shopping guide

Found something you just have to have? We have created this step-by-step guide to help you through the purchasing process.

1. You can purchase everything by clicking "Buy"

If you see the "Buy" button next to an item, then this means that the item is available for purchase. If there's something you'd like to specify with the Seller first, hit "Send a message" (next to the item) to contact the Seller via Yaga chat; if not, just click “Buy”.

 
 

2. Choose a delivery method and fill out the necessary information to receive your purchase.

The delivery cost will usually be paid extra at checkout and each Seller can choose which delivery options they would like to enable for their items. Yaga currently has Delhivery as an integrated delivery partner.

  • Delhivery - (₹90 - ₹390) - Door-to-door courier service across India. Set your pickup location and auto schedule the pickup of your package online. The item will be delivered to the Buyer's doorstep within 1-3 business days.

  • Pick Up from Seller (0.00) - This is a free delivery option that requires actually meeting up with the Seller. Before choosing this option please make sure that you’re aware of the Seller’s location so that you’re within each other’s reach. Please note that we don’t encourage using this option for safety and health reasons during the time of the pandemic!

  • Bundling (0.00) - This option is automatically activated after the first purchase from a shop and allows making additional purchases from the same shop without an extra shipping cost for one hour after the first purchase. Learn more how Bundling works here.

3. Choose a payment method

You can pay using your credit card, UPI, netbanking, EMI and wallets or your Yaga wallet balance (<- if you’re a Seller on Yaga and have sold some items then you might just have some money in your Yaga wallet to use for shopping).

After the payment, the money will be deposited to the Seller’s Yaga Wallet as a prepayment and becomes available for payout only after you've confirmed receiving the item on Yaga (by clicking "Item received" in Orders view). This is how Yaga protects our buyers from getting scammed.

🔒 Please note! All purchases made through the Yaga platform are covered with our protection system. If you make the payment outside of Yaga (e.g. transaction to the Seller’s bank account directly) then you won’t be protected by us.

4. After a successful payment you will receive a confirmation e-mail and the purchase can be found under "My purchases" on the left menu bar on Yaga. Please allow the Seller a few days to send out the Order, but if you get any questions then don't hesitate to contact the Seller via Yaga chat or contact our support using the Chat widget on site or support@shopyaga.in. Once the Seller has shipped out the item you'll receive a notification about it on Yaga and to your e-mail - so please check if your e-mail is correct (under "Profile" from the menu bar).

5. Once you've received your item don't forget to click "Item received" (under "My purchases”) on Yaga to let the Seller know that you've gotten the item and we can transfer the money to their account.
